We do not exist in a community by ourselves. God has given each of us gifts for service to other people. Humility is key for service in a healthy community. In the same way that Jesus humbled Himself while He was on earth, we also need to humble ourselves and serve with humility. Putting our trust in the fact that Jesus, on the cross, has paid for our sin, allows us to have less regard for ourselves and more regard for our brothers and sisters. We can serve them humbly and generously in the confidence of God's grace given to us. “Lean into” whatever gifts that God has given to you. Let your gifts overflow abundantly with the love of God. Make a commitment to use your gifts, no matter how great or small, for the glory of God and the benefit of others!
