Joel 1-3 /// Tear Your Hearts

August 31, 2025 | Special Services

In a world of 24-hour bad news, it's easy to become numb. But the gospel calls us to feel the brokenness. The first step in healing isn't to rush to a solution, but to weep, to mourn, to lament. As we heard in our sermon on Joel, God doesn't just want performative grief—He wants the reality of our torn hearts, inviting our honest, raw emotions because He is "gracious and compassionate" (Joel 2:13). While we wait, work, and weep, we cling to the ultimate hope that God will restore what was lost, promising to help us through the hard times.
