Why Baptism?

Since the time of Jesus, water baptism has been an important part of The Way for God's people. Baptism is an outward sign that we accept God's offer of salvation. But what God does for us through baptism is even more wonderful! All of humanity, including me and you, are born into the broken state of sin. We choose to rebel against God and His commandments. Jesus died, was buried, and resurrected. As we pass through the waters of “death” in baptism our past life is buried and we also are raised out of the water into new life. We are baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit to walk in the freedom, hope and righteousness of Christ. Then we are called to spread this Good News to others with encouragement and prayers.
