The Importance of the Bible

March 17, 2024 | Romans

What relevance does the Bible have for modern society? How does a book that was written at a different time thousands of years ago and in a different place thousands of miles away speak to us today? The Bible may be read for many reasons. It may be read as a historical book of the Jewish people, a book of poetry, a book of romance, or as a self-help book to make us better people. However, the most important reason to read the Bible is to know and understand God and what His Son Jesus has done for us. The Bible is God's divine authority for us to submit to. It was written by men and is held together by one divine editor, The Holy Spirit. And just as God breathed life into each and everyone of us, God also breathed life into His Holy Bible. His Holy Word is a gift to all generations!
