Opposition is Here

As Nehemiah and the Jewish people rebuilt the walls around Jerusalem, the bricks seemed to become heavier and heavier. Outside opposition increased to the point of death threats. The morale of the people dropped as fatigue increased. Rather than wasting precious time and energy disputing with the opposition, Nehemiah took his concerns to God in prayer. He told the people to “remember the Lord, who is great and awesome”. This strengthened the people's resolve. They organized a plan of action and got back to building. When we encounter opposition, take it to the Lord. Pray. Remember what God has done for us in the past and what He will do for us in the future. Then make a plan and get back to work. All for the Glory of God!
