Conflict Resolution
November 17, 2024 | Bible Engagement ProjectJesus perfectly identified our weakness in relationship with our neighbors and our enemies when he told us to “First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye” (Matthew 7:5). Too often, in our tunnel vision, we dismiss other people and their views because “they are not like me”. In a healthy way, we need to privately cast our cares on God in prayer. God will do his work in our hearts when we invite Him into our lives. God will reflect the character of Jesus in us. In a spirit of empathy, we will look for reasons to be interested in others' points of view. Loving our neighbors, and our enemies, starts with us turning to God.
