One person sees a blue shirt while another sees a green shirt. A third person sees a teal shirt. Who is right? In the same way, Christians may disagree over interpretations of Holy Scripture and how scripture guides our daily life and our beliefs. Christians must be able to judge which issues have a clear command in scripture and follow that command, versus which issues are of lesser importance and not clearly outlined in scripture. For matters of secondary importance we are to approach disagreeing Christians with love. A love that allows respectful discussion and a love that does not cause a brother or sister to slip. The love of unity that marks us as Christians to the rest of the world.
